One invitation. The checks that used to take weeks run while you fill it in.

A unique invitation URL is generated from the Group itself, in Kiosk, and it is what creates the franchisee as an Owner — the role that user import will not grant and that payment details require.

Role grantedOwner — required for billing
Single use, tied to this Group, expires in 14 days. Nobody can self-register into the wrong location, and nobody has to be told which Group they are.
Today a wave sends bulk invites that land in a password reset, and Owner cannot be granted at all — so nobody can enter a card. This link is the fix for both.

Link sent. In the prototype, carry on with Continue.
The screen already exists. What is new is that the franchisee arrives here from their own Group invite rather than from a bulk import they did not expect.
You are being created as the Owner of Birmingham AL. Owners can accept terms and enter payment details — no other role can.

This is the same Billing Details surface that exists in-app today — moved to before first access, so a Group cannot reach Active without a card on file.
Hosting is the fast path and the default. Porting is slower and moves billing; buying skips the carrier entirely.

Checked against every Group in Voxie first, then against the carrier. Both happen before you fill in anything else.
Looking up 612 Groups, then the carrier…
No existing Group uses this number.
Safe to carry on — nothing here is a duplicate.
Checked against 612 Groups on three signals: the number itself, brand plus location name, and the service address. Nobody was asked for an External ID — a franchisee does not know theirs, and the number they just typed is a better key than one they would have to look up.
Two Groups look like this location.
Not an exact match on the number, but close enough on the other signals to be worth a look before a second Group exists.

A warning, not a block. Duplicates inflate the Group count and the Group count drives billing, so the cheap moment to catch one is before it exists.
This number already belongs to a Group.
Creating another one would duplicate a location that is already live — and duplicates are what make the Group count disagree with the invoice.

Submit is blocked on an exact match. The request routes to the CSM who owns that Group instead of creating a second record for the same place.
Handed off to the Group that already exists.
Nothing was created. The request now sits with the CSM who owns Alexandria MN, carrying the number and the location that was entered so they can see why it arrived.

A duplicate avoided is a Group count that still matches the invoice. Submit stays closed here — this path deliberately ends without creating anything.
Good news — we can text-enable this number.
Your calls keep working exactly as they do now. We only add texting.
This is a mobile number, so it can’t be text-enabled.
That’s normal — it happens to a lot of business lines. Here are two ways forward.
This number can’t be text-enabled.
Your carrier doesn’t allow texting to be added to this line. Nothing you did wrong — it’s how the line was set up.
We couldn’t check this one automatically.
No problem — we’ll verify it by hand and come back to you. Carry on filling in the rest.

Collected here, at signup, instead of chased over 25 Twilio threads after the wave has started. Carrier-agnostic, so nothing is thrown away at the Bandwidth migration.
Wireless carriers will not release a number without it. This is the field that turns a three-week port into a three-day one.
Find it in your carrier account under Transfer PIN or Number transfer. It is not your voicemail password.
Local numbers in your area code, available now. No authorisation, no carrier wait.
